Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for bringing about powerful, positive change in your life or the life of someone you love. I work with people of all ages, helping them to overcome a range of challenging issues, including these two very challenging issues, anxiety and depression.
Hypnosis is supported by research as an effective treatment modality. Because hypnosis works directly with the subconscious mind - which is where our habits, beliefs, and experiences are stored - it is an amazingly fast and effective tool for better physical, mental and emotional health. I am experienced in utilizing a variety of hypnotic techniques to help each of my clients achieve better health and balance in their lives.
Hypnosis is especially effective in situations where there is no known organic, physical origin of a given condition. An example of this is anxiety - general anxiety, panic attacks, specific phobias. Anxiety is known to be especially responsive to the use of hypnosis as a tool in therapy.

Children and adolescents respond very well to hypnosis. Their blend of creative, imaginative minds and lack of stereotyped images of hypnosis results in young clients that are receptive to hypnosis and are easy to work with. Some of the issues I help children with are:

- Nervous habits
- School performance
- Self-defeating habits
- Sleep problems
- Test anxiety
- Weight management
Note that play therapy (either with the child alone or with his/her parents) may be the treatment of choice for children 12 and under. Treatment options can be discussed over the phone when you call me to discuss your individual situation.
