The use of a parent coach may be recommended by the Parenting Consultant when he or she sees that some additional guidance and support would be helpful. The parent coach works with one or the other of the parents, assisting them in being better able to participate in the parenting consulting process.
It is also possible for co-parents to engage me as their parent coach if they are not in such conflict that a parenting consultant is needed. This is a more informal, slightly more flexible process than parenting consulting. However, as a parent coach, I don’t have the same authority to make binding decisions.
If you and your co-parent are struggling with minor yet stubborn issues, consider parent coaching to help issues reach resolution!
